Lotan Ke Chole Kulche

Street Food in Old Delhi
Lotan Chole Kulche, Old Delhi

What’s on my yellow plate? Chole Kulche from Lotan Chole Kulche, Chawri Bazaar. It was started in 1920 by Lotan and is now run by the fourth generation of the family. Mahaveer (in the picture), grandson of Lotan, is carrying forward the legacy and serving people with best Chole Kulche in town, every morning. You’ll always find crowd buzzing around and patiently waiting to get their hands on tasty Chole Kulche.

The Cholas are made in a copper vessel and topped with aloo and red spicy masala (you can choose less spicy or extra spicy), which makes them the real deal. Specially for those who love spicy things in life, this is it.

He sits in Chhatta Shah from 7:30 am to 10:30 am. After that you can find him between 11:00 am to 2:00 pm behind commercial school in Darya Ganj.

Where: Lotan Chole Wala, Chatta Shahji, Chawri Bazaar.
(Take exit from chawri bazaar metro station gate number 3 and ask anyone for Lotan)

P.S Dilli mein reh ke Lotan ke Chole Kulche nahi khaye…to kuch nahi khaya.
